Wit is a way of getting your thoughts across in an effective, yet subtle way. I do believe it is a talent that many do not have or possess the understanding for. For those of you, I am truly sorry, your life must be boring.

Wit is a combination of Humor n Intelligence. Add Timing as well.
So if u meet a witty guy, you know he has a good sense of humor n is intelligent.
Now only if he is rich and good looking as well.....

@Sakshi -- you are correct....I want to sit at the fun table...no boring people for me...that just forces me to make fun of them. Good for me and bad for them.

@Never_Mind - I must admit that only someone with those qualities could understand ALL that I have to say. So many have tried and failed hopelessly. You think they may be bored and I know that they will be intrigued. From your statement, I can only guess you have not dated a PhD gal. -

Let me tell you what is really scaring me right now ... because of my grad student status, I am "doomed" to date only PhD gals! My experience with them is a long story reserved for later ;-) But in a nutshell, I do enjoy them (and that is irrespective of gender). I could split strands on this one but finally it is your choice and your outlook, let it rest. Just that a guy who may be witty to you may be plain stupid to 10 other people!
